Pia and PC

Pía and PC are two passionate Forró dancers who have dedicated their lives to sharing their love for this vibrant Brazilian dance style with the world. Pía started her career in Forró in Europe, where she lived most of her life. PC, on the other hand, got to know the style through friends who took him to dances in the capital of Bahia and, on one of those occasions, their destinies crossed.

Since 2020, the two have been teaching Forró together at the Varanda Roots project in Salvador, Brazil. They have already given workshops together in several cities in Brazil, including Rootstock, Nata Forrozeira, and Itaúnas festivals, as well as in Chile. They have also been offering online courses for people from different countries, spreading the joy of Forró to dancers around the world.

What sets Pía and PC's teaching style apart is their light and relaxed, friendly and inclusive approach. They believe that there are no rules in dance, and that there is no right or wrong way to do it. Their aim is to help their students have fun, relax, and be happy while dancing. However, this does not mean that they leave aside the technical part of the dance. On the contrary, they encourage their students to explore other possibilities and to find their own style and personality in dance.

"There is a saying that goes: 'whoever dances is happier' and we say: come be happy with us!" says Pía and PC. They believe that Forró is not just a dance, but a way of life, a way of connecting with others, and a way of celebrating Brazilian culture.

Join Pía and PC for their online courses and workshops, where you can learn from the comfort of your own home and connect with other Forró enthusiasts from around the world. Come dance, be happy, and celebrate life with Pía and PC!

Jonathan

Jonathan is a seasoned Forró teacher with over 5 years of experience. He regularly teaches in London at the popular Forró Family and Forró Foundations, and has also made guest appearances throughout the UK. His passion for Forró has taken him on a journey across Brazil and Europe, where he has sought out the best the dance has to offer and enriched his understanding of it.

With a focus on technique and a thorough approach to teaching, Jonathan's classes are popular not only in London but also beyond. He believes in developing his students' understanding of movement, following, and leading, so that they can take their skills beyond the class and into social dance. His new project, Forró Works, is designed to do just that - help students develop a robust understanding of Forró that they can apply both on and off the dance floor.

Join Jonathan for his classes and workshops, where you can learn from one of the best Forró teachers in the UK. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, you'll find his classes both challenging and rewarding. Come and discover the joy of Forró with Jonathan and his Forró Works project!
